SPRINGS
For over thirty years, we have been a major supplier of springs
to the garage door industry, having been instrumental in
designing some of the springing systems used in the UK’s most
popular doors.
The basic designs of long overhead torsion springs have been
established for many years, but the more specialist designs of
tension springs are forever synonymous with the ‘Entex’ name.
Dedicated tooling was developed in the early eighties, to
produce tension springs of non-circular section wire for high
initial tension and low rate. These, along with round wire
springs, developed into multi-spring hanger systems, to meet the
requirements of the European Safety initiatives.
We are continuing to develop multi-spring systems for the garage
door repair market in order to provide a one-stop solution to
re-springing old doors, whilst also giving the safety benefits
that a modern multi-spring assembly provides.
